J Hugh Thomas lives with his wife, Rachel, and two daughters in north central Alabama, south of Birmingham.  He spends his time developing databases, programming, novel writing, song writing, playing music with his family, writing and directing amateur films, and raising his daughters.  Since working as a quality engineer in the mid-nineties, Hugh Thomas has worked as a PC Manager, Application Developer, Database Architect, and Database Developer.  His writing began in the form of short stories, poems, songs, and screenplays through his childhood.  In 2007 he decided to seriously pursue fiction novel writing.  He continues working on his first novel as he reaches for the dream of transitioning from writer to published author.
